Our relationship with the Méndez Ortiz family began in 2013, when Caffe Ladro first visited their farms in El Salvador on a direct sourcing trip. More than a decade later, we're proud to continue sharing their exceptional coffee.

Grown in nutrient-rich volcanic soil at elevations between 1,300 and 1,500+ meters, this Red Bourbon coffee develops slowly under warm days and cool nights, creating outstanding sweetness and clarity in the cup.

Over the years, our partnership with the Méndez Ortiz family has supported community projects in Ojo de Agua, including school improvements, a local soccer field, and efforts to combat coffee leaf rust.

This special coffee showcases generations of care and expertise. The result is a clean, balanced cup with bright fruit sweetness, a medium body, and a smooth finish.
